Water City Festival Orchestra Recording in a Weekend: 28-30 October 2011

Following two very successful Orchestra in a Weekend projects in October 2010 and April 2011, the Water City Festival Orchestra is meeting up again to revisit and record some of the repertoire already played along with some new works.  The plan is make a CD for the orchestra members benefit and to document our progress to date.  This resource will also help Water City Festival help to raise the orchestra's profile via the website and other means.

Rupert Bond and Michael Bochmann return to conduct and lead the orchestra respectively and Michael is the featured soloist in Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending, a highlight of the orchestra's October 2010 launch concert.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with St Paul's Way Trust School, Tower Hamlets and The Classical Recording Company for this project.

There are still some vacancies for players to join in, particularly in the strings and brass sections.
